Yieldworth does not directly provide funeral services.
Yieldworth is a technology platform that facilitates connections between consumers and independently licensed funeral service providers. All funeral services, funeral merchandise, and burial/cremation services are provided by licensed funeral homes, not by Yieldworth.
At-Need Services Only
Yieldworth facilitates at-need funeral arrangements only. We do not:
- Sell, broker, or administer preneed funeral contracts
- Provide or sell funeral insurance products
- Offer pre-planning financing or payment plans that extend beyond the at-need transaction
- Store or hold funds on behalf of consumers or funeral homes for future services
Platform Role & Limitations
Yieldworth's role:
- Connecting consumers with licensed funeral service providers
- Facilitating the discovery of funeral homes and their services
- Processing payments on behalf of selected funeral homes
- Providing planning tools and digital memorial services
Yieldworth does NOT:
- Employ or contract funeral directors or embalmers
- Own, operate, or control funeral homes
- Select specific funeral homes for consumers (consumer choice is voluntary)
- Provide legal, tax, or insurance advice
- Guarantee outcomes or service quality from partner funeral homes
Pricing Disclaimer
Prices displayed on the Yieldworth platform are provided by individual funeral homes and may vary. Pricing shown is not a quote or offer from Yieldworth. Each funeral home maintains its own General Price List (GPL) as required by the FTC Funeral Rule.
Actual prices may differ based on services selected, date, time, and funeral home availability. When you connect with a funeral home, you will receive their official GPL before any services or purchases are finalized.
Licensing & Verification
All funeral homes on the Yieldworth platform are verified as licensed by their respective state licensing boards. Yieldworth does not conduct independent inspections or regulatory audits. Licensing verification is performed at onboarding and annually thereafter.
If you have concerns about a funeral home's licensing or conduct, contact your state's funeral licensing board directly.
Liability Limitations
Yieldworth is not liable for:
- Actions, omissions, or negligence of funeral homes or their staff
- Service quality, professionalism, or conduct of partner funeral homes
- Delays, cancellations, or failures to perform by funeral homes
- Disputes between consumers and funeral homes
- Accuracy of prices, availability, or service descriptions provided by funeral homes
FTC Funeral Rule
Your rights under the FTC Funeral Rule include:
- Right to receive the funeral home's General Price List
- Right to choose the goods and services you want
- Right to buy items from outside suppliers
- Right to cancel services without penalty
